Narrative

Elizabeth is supposed to have been the first white female child born in New England.

Narrative

No birth record for Elizabeth Alden survives, but her parantage is confirmed in the Division of Cattle made 1 June 1627 which shows her with John and Priscilla Alden in the "fourth lot" (MD, 1:150). Bradford stated in his list of Mayflower passengers made in 1651 that John and Priscilla's "eldest dau. is maried & hath five children" (MD, 1:13).
