Prominent Mayfair Real Estate ManC. Fred Hunting, a resident of Mayfair for 32 years, diedyesterday after a short illness. The funeral will take placetomorrow, burial being at Rosehill. Mr. Hunting was once theowner of the entire tract of Montrose, now included in Mayfair,but he subdivided much of it. In 1863 he came to Chicago fromSomerset, N.Y where he was born in 1850? and entered the employof Field, Leiter & Co., where he remained until 1874, when heresigned to give attention to his real-estate interests. TheChicago & Northwestern reilway station, at Hunting Ave Mayfairwas built by him and presented to the (suburb?) He left a widowand two adopted daughters , the children of a dead brother.
