Narrative
Enoch Littlefield was a deep sea captain. Born in the 1840's,he was the son of Captain William T. and Susan H. RossLittlefield. As a youth he leared the sea on his father'ssloops, but he was a 'deep sea' Captain and often took his wifealong on the globe circling trips. His niece, Ada Gowen, saysthat you never called him "Uncle Enoch", always Captain Enochand he was held in deep respect because of his many long voyagesto far away places all over the globe.
