Narrative
Sometimes listed as David's son, but believed to be illegitimateson of David's daughter Mary Jr. and William Harmon. The lattertheory is the more likely of the two due to the descrepencybetween David and his wife Mary Sr.'s children's birth dates andIthamar's birth date (which is almost 12 years after David andMary Sr.'s youngest child). It is possible that Ithamar was, infact, raised by David as Mary may have been too young to carefor a child by herself.
