Narrative
George was the proprietor of the Barrows Saloon & Billiard Hallof Nelsonville. He also worked in a sawmill and drove the localexpress wagon. He learned the shoemaker trade, was on a whalingvessel for 15 years, worked as a section hand on the Grand TrunkRailroad, and worked in a chair factory. He enlisted in Co. F23rd Regimentof O Infantry. He was also a foreman of trheswitchyard at Piqua. for C&C RR.
