Narrative
The History of Lexington by Charles Hudson says that this ThomasNelson and wife, Tabitha were in Lexington in 1722 when Tabithawas admitted to the church. In 1724, Thomas was chosen to asubordinate town office which shows that he was an inhabitant.In 1730, he had a seat assigned in the meeting house and in 1743he was constable. He resided on the road to Concord, above whatwas known in 1868 as the old Viles Tavern, near what was thenthe line of Concord. When the town of Lincoln,MA wasincorporated in 1754, he and others were taken from Lexington toconstitute that town. The Nelsons of Lincoln were connected bymarriage with the Hastings of Lexington.
