Narrative
Madison enlisted in Baker's D.C. Cavalry and was afterwardstransferred to the First Maine Cavalry. He was killed in theraid on the Weldon R.R. on October 27, 1864, leaving a widow andthree children. His widow later married John Snell of China,ME.
