Narrative
John Cogswell's wife died in 1652, leaving three children, theyoungest one year old. John's health was poor, and he arrangedwith his sister, Mrs. Waldo, to care for his children. Heappointed his brother William and their father legal guardians,made his will, and sailed for England.While he was there, he visited his sister and her two childrenwho were living in London. He died on his return trip toAmerica in 1653.
