Narrative

His will, dated Jan. 3 1733, was probated Nov. 3, 1740. To hisson Israel he gave half of the farm given him by his fatherWalter Hatch and on which he was living, except half an acre onwhich the fulling mill stood at the north end of the Point cove.To his son David, the house and land at Bridgewater bought fromJohn Hammer, Eleanor Carver and John Hayward, also the lot ofland at Pembroke bought of Charles Little, also all his apparel,small brass scales and little leaden weights. To his youngestson Jonathan, the half of the farm on which he lived, east ofhighway which ran through the farm, given him by his fatherWalter Hatch, with his part of the grist mill standing thereon,also all his meadow in Scituate, also the upper part of Greenisland, bought of the town of Marshfield, also half of the cedarswamp in Hanover, all his horses, one-half of his greaterscales, meat tubs, the chest in which he kept his writings and asmall cupboard marked W H. To daughter Lydia, wife of TimothyRogers, one-half of his movables. To his granddaughters Lidiaand Elizabeth Rogers, his bed. To all of his children, hisbooks. Executor: son Israel Hatch.
