The will of his father, GeorgeRobbins, made in 1746, refers to Ephraim as "of Rutland," but by1748 he had removed to Killingly, Connecticut, where hisdaughter Lydia was born. He bought land in Killingly in 1748 and1765, selling it to his son Silas in 1773.About 1785, Ephraim removed to Amherst, Massachusetts. He wasactive in Shay's Rebellion, taking the oath of allegiance inFebruary 1787. He died intestate, and son Isaac was apointedadministrator of the estate.
