At the time of their marriage, Silas and Mary were both ofKillingly.

Narrative

In 1778, Silas bought land in Amherst from his father, Ephraim.In 1797, Silas and Sarah Robbins of Westfield, NY and Samuel andSally Cole of Kingsbury, NY sold land in Amherst next to that ofSilas' brothers John and Willard Robbins. Silas is listed in the1790 federal census of Granville, NY, and in the 1800 census ofWestfield, NY, both in Washington County. The 1790 enumerationsuggests several children, but the only one known is Amos, b. atKillingly 28 April 1774.
