Narrative

Samuel Robbins and his family settled at Killingly, Connectocut,by 12 September 1710, when a deed whereby he bought 115 acresfrom John Chandler referred to him as Samuel Robbins, "late ofChelmsford in the county of Middlesex now of Killingly." On 3August 1738 Samuel Robbins [father or son?] of Killingly sold"half the tract in Killingly he lives on" to John Robbins ofKillingly. On 14 April 1763 Samuel conveyed land in Killingly tohis grandson, Samuel Robbins of Killingly, a minor. Possiblythis grandson Samuel (b. 1747) was a son of John (1716-1758).The estate of Samuel Robbins, late of Killingly, wasadministered by his son, Samuel. Mentioned in the distributionof the estate were the widow Dorothy, the eldest son SamuelRobbins, the eldest daughter "the widow Jane Shantery," daughterAbigail Gefene, Dorothy Herington (probably a daughter, but therecord is illegible), daughter Sarah Warrin, wfie of EphraimWarrin, and daughter Allice Whitney, wife of Mathis Whitney.
