Narrative
On 5 April 1697 James Fry of Andover, Massachusetts, was namedguardian of "eleazer Robins son of George Robins and Alice hiswife both Dec'd., being a minor of about fifteen years of age.Eleazer became an innholder at Harvard, Massachusetts; on 4February 1715/1716, he bought from Jonathan Fransworth over 200acres of land, "part of a Farme formerly Granted unto CaptainJonas Prescott, call the Old Mill ffarme." Eleazer served inCapt. Samuel Willard's Company in his famous expedition of 1725into the wilderness of the White Mountains. Eleazer was one ofnine heads of families, who petitioned the General Court "to beset off from Groton" in 1730, and the part of town in which theylived was subsequently set off to form the present town ofHarvard.In 1727 Mary (Powers) Wheeler "of Wellontown [Willington?] inHartford County, Connecticut" sold land in Stafford,COnnecticut, to her son-in-law Eleazer Robbins of Groton,Massachusetts. In 1748, Eleazer sold off the last of his landsin Stafford.
