Narrative
John Stone brought his wife Elinor and her four children, Roger,William, Mark and Joan Haskell to America in 1635. There is noother information on her other children. They anchored in NorthRiver off Massey's Cove. The Haskell Family went to Beverly,Mass., with the 'Old Planter'. The Haskell farm lands were ator near the head of the tide-water of the 'Basse' or Bass river.This river is now known as Beverly Creek and ends at theproperty of the United States Shoe Machinery Co.
