This is the description in "Hardy & Hardie, ..." (pp.383-4) of"Edmund HARDY3 (William2, Thomas1), born at Bradford, Mass. 9Jul 1699. His first wife was MARY, whose last name is not knownand who died at Bradford 8 jan. 1730-1. His second wife wasSARAH GAGE, whom he married at Bradford, Mass., 16 May 1731. Shewas a daughter of DANIEL GAGE, whose father was DANIEL, andwhose grandfather was JOHN> She died at Bradford 20 Nov., 1736.EDMUND's third wife was RUTH BURBANK, whom he married atBradford 12 Apr. 1737. She died at Bradford 12 March 1757. On29 Dec. 1757, at Bradford, he married again, this time SARAHJEWETT.Edmund Hardy was admitted to the Bradford Church 7 Feb., 1725and was one of the 101 first members of the new CongregationalChurch organized at Groveland, Mass. 7 June 1727.There is no record of the death of Edmund, but it is known thathe was living in 1759. It is possible that he moved to Pelham,N.H., with his son, Edmund, Jr (See No. 96), and died there.Children, all born at Bradford, Mass.: "(lists 3 daughters by first wife, 1 son (Edmund, Jr.) & 2daughters by second wife (lists Tabitha, b. 1735/6 by thirdwife, but Bradford VR (p.76) lists her as daughter of SarahGAGE, which makes sense since he didn't marry Ruth till 1737 :)(children of Edmund & Ruth (BURBANK):8.
