Gershom Lambert's Will I, Gershom Lambert in County of Essex of Rowley, being sicke ofbody but of perfect understanding and memory, I do make this mylast will and testament in manner and form as followeth. Icommend my soule to God and my body to the grave,& I do disposeof that estate that God hath given me as follows. Imprimis aftermy debts be paide I give my aunt Rogers my horse, and I give mybrother, John Lambert my Cloth coate & my bootes.And I give my best suite to my brother Thomas Nelson, & I giveto John Spofford a gray jacket and breeches,& I give to CharlesBrowne two pair of shoes and two paire of stockings & I give therest of my clothes to Richart Lighton and I give to my cousinMary Brown fivety shillings,& I give to my cousin ElizabethPlatte fivety shillings,& I give to my brother Thomas Lambert mypistolls and my sword & my sadle & my breast girt & I give thehalfe thousand acres of upland & the meadow proportionable tothe half thousand acres of upland, which my aunt Rogers gave me,which lieth on the bounds of Rowley, which lieth in the divisionof land commonly called Rowley village.
