It is also written He was living inMr. Love's house when Salmon Falls was sacked, Mar. 1689-90, andthat he was captured with his wife and infant son, that herbrother James Plaisted, another captive wrote that Thomas hadkilled one French man, and wounded another in the attack and wasto be tried by a council of war, but was free before his wifewas redeemed in Oct. 1695., That Thomas Goodwin was an ensign,that his estate was taxed 20 Nov. 1713, and administrationgranted to his widow, 26 mar.1714 and that the widow was livingin 1740. (Their children were son killed by the indians, Thomas,Capt. Ichabod, Olive, Mary, James, Bial)
Thomas Goodwin was born in Kittery, Maine about 1660. He was the son of Daniel Goodwin and Margaret Spencer.
Thomas Goodwin and Mehitable Plaisted married about 1685 in Maine; daughter of Lieut. Roger Plaisted (son of Ichabod Plaisted).
About 1690, Mehitable was carried as a captive by Indians to Canada and held for five years. Thomas Goodwin eventually ransomed her from captivity and they had children after her return. She administered his estate in 1714 and was living in 1740. [1]

Thomas Goodwin died on 26 March 1714 in Kittery, Maine and is buried in Old Fields Cemetery, South Berwick, Maine. [2]
