Weymouth, Sr., 73, of 184 River Street, Rochdale, amillwright for 35 years, died Thursday in Providence CareCenter, Worcester, after an illness. He leaves his wife of 50 years, Matilda C. (Dzieniszewski)Weymouth; a son, Russell Weymouth, Jr. of Charlton; a daughter,Audrey A. Griffing of Charlton City; a brother, Robert Weymouthof Lake Harmony, PA; a sister, Dorothy Parkinson of Osage Beach,MO; five grandchildren; nephews and nieces. His daughter, KarenLee Weymouth of Rochdale, died in May. He was born inWoonsocket, RI, son of Seward and Essie (Button) Weymouth, andlived many years in Rochdale. He graduated from Grafton HighSchool. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the ArmyAir Forces in England. He provided aircraft maintenance for thefighter-bomber of which James "Jimmy" Stweart was the pilot.Mr. Weymouth was a millwright at the Worcester Spinning &Finishing Co. in Cherry Valley for 35 years, retiring in 1990.He was a member of St. Aloysius-St. Jude's Church in Rochdale,the American Legion in Boston and Rochdale Post, Veterans ofForeign Wars.The funeral will be held Monday from Morrison Funeral Home, 1131Main St., with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Aloysius-St. Jude'sChurch, 489 Pleasant St., Rochdale. Burial will be in Notre DameCemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are 3 to 6 PM tomorrow at thefuneral home.
