Narrative

John and his brother, Thomas, were constables and charge by theMassachusetts Bay authorities with ridding the colony ofQuakers.He was a selectman for six years in the 1660's and 1670's, assurveyor of highways in 1661 and 1668, and a sergeant ( laterlieutenant) of the militia.
