Fought in King Philip's War. Settled in Rowley MA. Quote fromSamuel Sewall's Diary, July 31, 1675: "at midnight, Tho. Wood,Carpenter of Rowley, had his house and goods burnt, and, 'vaemalum,' a daughter of about 10 years of age, who directed herborther so that he got out, was herself consumed to ashes."
