Narrative
Rev. War VeteranWas major in the first regiment of the provincial militia underCol. William Whipple; member of the provincial congress whichmet in Exeter, December 21, 1775, and January 5, 1776, resolveditself into a house of representatives. Although he protestedagainst this change, he was on a committee of the house later inJanuary to commission a privateer. He was a member again in 1776and 1777, and a member of the committee of safety in both thoseyears. In June 28, 1781, he was made first major of a regimentto be commanded by Col. Daniel Reynolds.
