P 85 A genealogical record of the descendants of Moses Pengry ofIpswich, Mass.; so far as ascertained; collected and arrangedby William M. Pingry:...(Jacob) moved west, and settled nearDurant, Iowa, September 1853; had very little means, ;butbought a small farm, and has continued farming ever since. Hisfarm now comprises 800 acres of cleared land, well cultivatedand stocked with carrle, ;horses, and hogs. He has, also, 640acres of land in Pottawottamie County, Iowa, which undercultivation; and 1500 acres in north-westerb Iowa.
