Narrative
John served in the Revolutionary War in the Wilton Company ofCaptain Philip Putnam in the regiment of Colonel Nahum Baldwin.The regiment was raised in September, 1776, and marched toassist the army in New York. It was in the battle of WhitePlains, October 28, 1776. He was dismissed at North Castle, NewYork, about the first of December, 1776.
