Zurial Mitchell appears to be the husband of the Mary Robbins.Zurial was b ~1746 in Glocester, Providence Co, RI. He diedbetween 1810 and 1820 in NY in either Washington Co or GeneseeCo. Zurial buys land in 1773 in Glocester. He is married andliving in Glocester in the RI 1774 Census 1-0-1-0 0-0.Looks newly married here. 1 male >16; 0 males< 16; 1 female>16; 0 females< 16. In the RI 1777 Military Census he isagain listed in Glocester. He is listed as 16-50 years old andable. According to Glocester Heritage Soc he served in the RevWar; I am still working on finding out for sure about that asNARA has nothing on him. In 1778 he sells land in Glocester, RIto his probable brother, Reuben Mitchell, and they both arelisted as being of Killingly. The deed is signed by Zurial andMary Mitchell. In 1790 he appears to be back in Glocester, being listed as "Uriel" Mitchel. 01-04-04. 1 male>16; 4males<16; and 4 females total. In 1800 I think he is listed inthe Washington Co, NY, Town of Granville Census as Zeriull orZeriutt depending on which Index/report one goes by.20201-22101 In 1810 he is again in Washington Co, Granville,NY. This time as "Teriel" (He has gone into the witnessprotection program in the past year, a strategy he has beentoying with and testing for nearly 20 years)and the listing is enumerated as 10201-02001. He is not found inthe 1820 Census. However there is another Zuriel Mitchell,Welcome Mitchell and family (my line) and an Edward Mitchell allliving on the same page in Genesee Co, Town of Bergen. Zurialand Edward live immediately next to each other and Welcome livesjust a few houses away. Edward is listed as 3 males 18-26 and 1female 45+. I think this is possibly Mary Robbins Mitchell. In1830 Welcome is living in Genesee Co still, the other twoMitchells having moved on and there is a 60-70 year old femaleliving with him, who although slightly underage, I think isMary Robbins Mitchell. This is the last sighting I have of Mary. Thanks, Georgie Mit chell (geokamitch@aol.com).
