Narrative

[Ensign] Thomas (1) Tenny (John [A], Thomas [B], Henry [C]} wasbaptized at Great Limber 25 June 1615, and he died at Bradford,Massachusetts, 20 February 1699/1700. He married first, say1639,presumably in New England, Ann Mighill, sister of [Deacon]ThomasMighill. She was buried at Rowley, Massachusetts, 26 September1657. Hemarried second, 24 February 1657/8, Elizabeth (Northend ?)Parrat, widowof Francis Parrat and said to have been the daughter of [Mr]John andElizabeth (Coole) Northend of Ripplingham in the parish ofRowley,Yorkshire, born in England about 1612.Thomas Tenney was born in England ca 1614 in the town of Rowley,East Riding, Yorkshire, and came at age 24 to Salem, Mass., in1638 with his brother William in the "John of London" togetherwith the Rev. EzekielRogers and the Rev. Josse Glover. Thomas settled in Rowley,Mass., ca 1640 with his wife Ann who may have been the sister ofDeacon Thomas Mighill who mentioned her as "sister" in his willof June 11, 1654. She died in 1657, buried Sep. 26, and hemarried Elizabeth Northend, widow of Deacon Francis Parrat. Theywere members of the Church of Rowley.
