Nathaniel Huntting, was a graduate of Harvard in 1725,and is mentioned in the Town Records as Dr. Huntting, as is hisson Edward who was born in 1741. I, EDWARD HUNTTING, of theTown of East Hampton, in Suffolk County, "Doctor," being sickand weak. I leave to my son Isaac Mulford Huntting, all my righton Montauk; Also a piece of land lying at Apaquage, adjoining tothe land of John Diament; I also give him Mr. Flavel's firstvolume in folio; Also Mr. Baxter's "Saints Everlasting Rest;"Also Dr. Watts' Sermons, 2 volumes. My wife is to have the useof said lands till my son is of age, provided she remains mywidow, but if she marries she shall have only 1/3 part. I leaveto my son Edward all the rest of my lands and real estate inEast Hampton, but my wife is to have the use of it till he is ofage; I also give him Mr. Flavel's Second volume in folio; alsoMr. Willard's folio on the Assembly's Catechism. I leave to mythree daughters, Mercy, Mehitabel, and Mary, oe38 each when theyare 18, and the use of the east room in my dwelling house withthe chamber over said room, until they are married, "and the useof the well, and free liberty of passage into said rooms and outof said room into the street." I leave to my wife all debts dueto me and all movable estate; And she shall repair my house andpay my debts and the legacies to my daughters.
