Narrative

Thomas Stanley probably came to New England with his brothers,John and Timothy. He originally settled in Lynn, MA and wasdeputy on 2 Sep 1635 and constable in 1636, in which year heprobably removed to Hartford, CT. He was an original proprietorin Hartford and his home-lot in 1639 was on Main St. just Northof the Little River, extending to the present Centre Church. Hewas constable 1644, 1648, 1653. He removed to Hadley in 1659;townsman there, 1659; died in Hadley, buried 31 Jan 1663.He came to America in 1634 on ship Planter. name is onHartford's Founders Monument. In 1659, removed to Hadley, Mass.
