Narrative
Edith was raised in Plainfield, NJ where she graduated from HighSchool. She attended Oberlin College 1910-12 one full year andpart of a second and had to drop out because of illness. Sheattended Iowa State College 1914-18. She graduated with aBachelor's Degree in Home Economics on 29 May 1918 and wasmarried the same day. While her husband, Jay, was in the armyduring WWI, July 1918 to May 1919, she was a student dieticianand assistant dietician in Muhlenburg Hospital, Plainfield, NJ.
