At age seven or eight her family moved to Anthony, KS; After twoyears they moved again, this time to Viola, KS; She attendedschool until eighth grade and then became a substitute teacher;she also worked as a switchboard operator for the phone company;When she was 17, she moved to a large farm as ahousekeeper-helper near Clearwater, KS, where she met PhillipOla; After the death of Phillip, she moved in with her youngestdaughter, Etta Nadine, where she lived until she was moved toParkview Gardens Care Center, in Waterloo, IA; She remained hereuntil her death.
