Narrative
Richard came to America in 1630 and was one of the originalsettlers of Watertown. He was probably a cousin of Thomas ofPortsmouth, Rhode Island. More than likely he was a cooper sincehe was paid one shilling sixpence in 1651 for "hooping thepowder". Richard became a proprietor of Watertown in 1637.
