Narrative
Sarah was tried at Salem on 23 May 1692 and sent to Bostonprison where she was kept until 3 Dec. 1692. She had a youngchild, 22 months old, which she took to prison with her,probably daughter Ruth. According to records, son Joseph wasborn 12 days after his mother was released from prison. The nextdaughter which she had after her imprisonment, she called"Deliverance". There is a record of nine pounds allowed to SarahBassett as compensation for her imprisonment for witchcraft.
