I believe the parentage of Sarah Walker is still in question, but there may be more recent discoveries. Bowman (MayflowerDescendants) discovered a deed which resolved a dispute betweenNathaniel and his mother which gives a tantalizing clue:[Plymouth Colony Deeds, 11: 73]..." That wheras a late petitionhath been prefered unto the court by Mis Jane Collyare in thebehalfe of her grandchild Sara the wife of the said NathaniellWarren and an other petition formerly prefered to the court byRobert Bartlett sonn inlaw of the said Elizabeth Warren by eachpetitions the prties requesting Justice in the prmises; the saidMis Elizabeth Warren and Mis Jane Collyare and Nathaniell Warrenhaveing agreed to refer the said Difference unto such of thebench as they have chosen;..."Bowman conjectures that the fact that this petition was not madeby William Collier, but by his wife Jane, seems to indicate thatSarah was her granddaughter by a former husband, adding thatthis, however is not conclusive evidence. It appears, he says, that there were three ways in which Sarah Walker could have beenJane Collier's granddaughter. "First, Sarah's mother might havebeen the daughter of William and Jane Collier. Second, Sarah'sfather might have been the son of Jane Collier by a formerhusband named Walker. Third, Sarah's mother might have been adaughter of Jane Collier by a former husband of unknownsurname."CJ Maddoxhttp://www.maddoxinteractive.com
