Matatall died, hesomehow reestablished contact with Florence - I believe she wasa "school marm" and "old maid" in Turners Falls - taught foreignlanguages (German and French, possibly Latin) - I bet there areschool yearbooks in Turners with her picture. She also was amember of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Foundersof Hartford. They probably have her ancestry on file somewhere.They had no children. To my knowledge, Florence had nevermarried before she married James McC. Florence Porter is buriedin the Porter plot in Turners Falls. James McC is buried in W.Hartford.
