r24:17 Ellis Barron was admitted a Freeman 2 Jun 1641; Constable1658; Selectman 1668 and 1673. His will, dated 26 Oct, proved 19Dec 1676. Inventory at death was 139 pounds.Ellis Barron, of Watertown, Mass., married first, Grace _____,who was the mother of his children. He married second, Hannah orAnne (Hammond) Hawkins, widow of Timothy Hawkins. She died 1Sept. 1685. He died 30 Oct. 1676. Ellis Barron was Constable at Watertown, 1658, ans Selectman,1668. His will reads in part as follows:"The last Will of Elizeas Barron of Wattertown ... In the nameof God Amen I Elizeas Barron ... doe make this my Last Will ...my will is that my Debts being paid and my funnerall chargisRatified and the a grement that was vpon mariage betwen my wifeand I be paid ...It ... to my oldist son Elizeas ten pounds ...It ... to my Son John fiue pounds ...It ...to my Son mossis fiue pounds ...It ... Elizabeth Barron my Grand Daughter ...And ... my Seauen Children to Each an equall Share ... my SonElizeas ... Sooll executor ... 26 October 1676.... in the presence of vsEliz BarroJohn BiscoeThomas Hastings"The inventory was taken 13 Dec. 1676. Receipts were given 30Apr. 1684 to the Executor by Simon Coolidge of Watertown inright of his late wife Hannah, deceased, and by Stephen andSusannah Randall; and the same date, Ellis Barron of Watertownas Executor discharged the legacies by conveying land "toBrother Moses Barron & o my Sisters Hannah Coolidge deceased ,Susanna Randall & Sarah Eastwick."The second marriage of the first Ellis Barron is proved by areceipt given 1 Apr. 1673 by Benjamin Garfield of Watertown to"Eliz Barron my father in law" for the portion of Mehitabel hiswife, "left hir of the estate of Timothy Hawkins Deced, herfather."
