Narrative
John Griffin was born in Wales. He was one of the first settlersof Windsor, Hartford, Connecticut, and later one of the foundersof Simsbury, Hartford, Connecticut. He was granted land tomanufacture tar and turpentine at Massacco (now Simsbury) beforethe town was inhabited. He lived in Simsbury and was inpartnership with Michael Humphrey.
