FRANCIS SPRAGUE TO JOHN SPRAGUE1661 A Deed appointed to bee RecordedTo all people to whom these prsents shall Come ffrancis Spragueof Duxburrow in New Plymouth Govrment: planter sendeth greetingKnow yea that the said ffrancis Sprague for and in Considerationof the love and naturall affection and for other valluableCauses and Considerations him therunto especially moveing: hathgiven graunted enfeofed and Confeirmed; and by these prsentsDoth give graunt enfeofe and Confeirme unto John Sprague histrue and naturall sonne all that his Dwelling house andouthouses and buildings Scittuate in Duxburrow aforsaid; and [p.76] and all and singulare the upland and meadow now theruntobelonging; whether obtained by graunt; or purchased of otherpsons lying in Duxburrow aforsaid; and to the lands of WillamPaybody and Thomas Boney on the North: to the land of Mr RalphPartrich now Deceased on the East to the land of Willam Bassetton the South; butting upon the salt water: Containing in allforty or fifty acrees or therabouts: with three acrees of meadowmore or lesse with all his Right title and enterest of and intothe said prmises with theire appurtenances and every pte andpcell therof: and all the fencing now in and about the saidprmises or any pte of them To have and to hold the said Dwellinghouse outhouses buildings with the forty or fifty acrees ofupland and three acrees of meadow: and fenceing in and upon thesame with all and singulare the appurtenances to the saidprmises or any pte of them belonging unto the said John Spraguehis heires and assignee for ever; To bee holden as our Sovr Lordthe Kinge as of his manor of East greenwich in the Countey ofKent in the Realme of Eng land by the Rents and services therofand therby Due and of Right accustomed; and with warranticeagainst all people from by or under the title of the saidffrancis Sprague claiming any Right title or Interest of andinto the said prmis or any pte or pcell therof whatsoever; andthe said ffrancis Sprague Doth further graunt by these prsentsthat it shall and may bee lawfull to and for the said JohnSprague either by himselfe or his attorney: to Record or enrowleor to Cause to bee Recorded and enrowled the title and tenor othese prsents in his Matlos Court before the Govr: for the timebeing according to the usuall order and mannor of Recording andenrowling Deeds and evidences in such case made and provided;But the said John Sprague is not to enter upon the posession ofeither house or land; till after the Decease of his fatherffrancis Sprague but shall keep the houses tenantable for hisfather During his fathers life; In Witnes wherof the saidffrancis Sprague hath to these psents sett his hand and Sealethe seaven and twentieth Day of Aprill in the thirteenth yeareof the Raigne of our Sov.
